Monocular Design

The Wild L (LRF) thermal imaging handheld device is available in various sizes. The models differ in optical size, i.e., objective lens diameter, range, sensor resolution, and field of view. The remaining features and software are the same across all variants. The series is identical to the Wild series without "L," but also includes a built-in laser rangefinder.

The display features a modern AMOLED display with an HD resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Photos and videos can also be saved, with 64 gigabytes of data storage available for this purpose.

With a sensitivity of 18 microkelvins, the Vanadium Oxide thermal sensor offers enormous accuracy for detected objects and their surroundings. This makes wildlife observation no longer a guessing game, as even the finest details such as a hoof or leg can be clearly identified.

Magnification has been smartly implemented with a wheel on the top of the housing, allowing the user to intuitively zoom comfortably in any situation, whether at night without visibility or with gloves in the cold.

Calibration can be done manually, but now also automatically with AI support. The keyword AI is also responsible for the Zoom-Pro function, which prevents enlarged images from appearing so pixelated.

For the housing, torsion-resistant magnesium was chosen and secured against the ingress of dust and moisture according to IP67. Two further advantages of the material are its low weight and optimal heat dissipation.

The quick-change battery system allows for battery replacement within a few seconds. Standard 18650 batteries are used. The device comes with 2 batteries and a suitable battery charger.
