Monocular Design

Pulsar's new Telos model series consists of thermal observation monoculars that will enable the replacement of individual components in the future. This allows the owner to stay up-to-date and save money. Because when technology improves again, there's no need to buy a new device; only the relevant component, such as the optics, electronics, detector, or display, needs to be replaced.

A laser rangefinder is already integrated into the "LRF" models. The spectral range of 905 nanometers is invisible to the human and animal eye. The LRF can determine the distance to a target up to one kilometer away, with a deviation of only +- one meter. It can be activated for single use or continuous measurement.

A prominent feature is the highly sensitive thermal sensor, which can display high-quality and detailed images. This is noticeable even in the worst weather conditions, such as rain or fog, when low thermal contrast obscures observation.

Pulsar has developed its own algorithm for image optimization; Image-Boost improves the contrast, sharpness, and clarity of the entire image. At the same time, image information is displayed even more precisely by the smoothing filter. Heat sources such as a deer or a human can thus be comfortably observed in any situation.

Zooming and focusing are done via the ring controls, which are located one behind the other on the lens, similar to a photographic camera. This allows the observer to operate precisely, even with gloves on.

The Telos thermal imaging monocular can be used in the harshest conditions, such as freezing cold in the snow or scorching, bone-dry heat. Thanks to IPX7 protection, it is waterproof and dustproof. The surface of the housing is rubber-coated, so it always sits comfortably in the hand, whether operated with wet hands or with gloves. The housing withstands temperatures from -25°C to +40°C.

Thermal image sources can be optimally displayed according to the environment and temperature using the 8 different color combinations such as White-Hot, Black-Hot, Red-Hot, Multicolor, Ultramarine, Red Monochromatic, Sepia, or Violet.

The new LPS7i battery is used for power supply, keeping the device in operation for up to 8.5 hours with 6400 mAh. Pulsar has developed another smart feature here, as the battery can be recharged directly via the USB-C port with a USB cable at a power outlet. A charger is therefore no longer required. The battery is also fast-charge capable and suitable for wireless charging.
