Monocular Design
The new Telos model series from Pulsar are thermal observation monoculars that will enable the exchange of individual components in the future. This way, the owner always stays up-to-date and saves money. Because when the technology improves again, there's no need to buy a new device; only the corresponding component, such as the optics, electronics, detector, or screen, needs to be replaced.
A laser rangefinder is already integrated into the "LRF" models. The spectral range of 905 nanometers is invisible to the human and animal eye. The LRF can determine the distance to a target up to one kilometer away, with a deviation of only +/- one meter. It can be activated for single use or continuous measurement.
A prominent feature of the Pulsar Telos LRF XP50 thermal imaging handheld device is its highly sensitive thermal sensor, which can display the highest quality and most detailed images. This is noticeable even in the worst weather, such as rain or fog, when low thermal contrast obscures observation.
Pulsar has developed its own algorithm for image optimization; Image-Boost improves the contrast, sharpness, and clarity of the entire image. At the same time, image information is displayed even more precisely by the smoothing filter. Heat sources such as a deer or a human can thus be observed comfortably in any situation.
Magnification and focusing are controlled by the ring operation, which is located one behind the other on the lens, similar to a photo camera. The observer can thus act precisely, even with gloves.
The Telos thermal imaging monocular can be used in the most adverse conditions, such as freezing cold in the snow or scorching, dry heat. Thanks to IPX7 protection, it is waterproof and dustproof. The surface of the housing is coated with rubber, so it always fits comfortably in the hand, whether operated with wet hands or with gloves. The housing withstands temperatures from -25°C to +40°C.
Thermal image sources can always be optimally displayed in conjunction with the environment and temperature thanks to the 8 different color combinations such as White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Multicolor, Ultramarine, Red Monochromatic, Sepia, or Violet.
The new LPS7i battery is used for power supply, which keeps the device in operation for up to 8.5 hours with 6400 mAh. Pulsar has once again developed a smart feature here, as the battery can be recharged directly via the USB-C port with a USB cable to a power outlet. A charger is therefore no longer needed. The battery is also fast-charging capable and suitable for wireless charging.
