Multispectral
The brand-new Thermion Duo model series are the first thermal imaging devices with multispectral optics. This means that, firstly, an optical sensor is built in for observation at night and for locating thermal activity. Secondly, a digital sensor is present to enable use during the day as a daylight riflescope.
The thermal vanadium oxide sensor with 640 x 480 pixels at 17 micrometers pixel pitch is a high-resolution thermal imaging detector that can detect any heat sources. This Lynred chip is manufactured in Europe, with a sensitivity of less than 25 microkelvins, it detects even the smallest temperature differences. The image information is displayed on an AMOLED screen. The HD-capable panel with 1024 x 768 pixels in combination with AMOLED LED technology is characterized by special color saturation, high contrast, and natural black levels.
For aiming during the day, a digital CMOS chip is used, which can capture the smallest details in color with a rich 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K resolution). Even in rain, fog, or snow, it is possible to identify game. The daylight optics do not need to be focused separately; they can clearly and distinctly capture objects already within a 10-meter range. Switching from night vision to day vision is quick and easy with just one button press.
Operation is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users. Pulsar has thought this through, as the focus is adjusted via winged knobs that have been fitted on both sides.
For a sharp, precise, and clear display, the manufacturer uses a modern algorithm, misrepresentations of edges are automatically smoothed. In addition, there is the possibility of contrast adjustment and image brightness.
The operating time is up to 6 hours, power is supplied by an internal, permanently installed battery and an external, replaceable battery. Thanks to the Pulsar battery change system, replacement is possible within seconds and even without sight.
In terms of multimedia, the Thermion offers a built-in video recorder for recording photos and videos. 16 gigabytes of memory are available for this purpose. Data can be transferred via Wi-Fi. In addition, up to 4 smartphones can be supplied with the live view via the Stream Vision 2 app.
With IPX-7 certification, the housing is absolutely waterproof, so use is possible without problems in heavy rain, snow showers, or dense fog. In addition, the device is shot-resistant up to caliber 12.
The Pulsar Thermion Duo DXP50 is particularly suitable for hunting and security applications where precise target tracking is necessary both day and night.
