Pulsar Krypton 2 FXG50 Thermal Imaging Front Attachment

The clip-on front-mounted device is the most powerful model in the new Krypton 2 series. The design is particularly light and compact, specifically tailored for hunting. It can not only be mounted in front of a daytime optic but also used as a thermal imaging monocular with 3x zoom for observation. Pulsar has thought about the form, as the short design is balanced so that when mounted on a rifle scope, there is no negative weight shift. The buttons and the menu field are easily accessible even when mounted.

For the thermal image detection of the Pulsar Krypton 2 FXG50 thermal imaging clip-on device, a high-resolution VOx sensor with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels is used, which can scan the finest temperature differences with a pixel pitch of 12 micrometers. The 50-millimeter objective lens allows a field of view of over 15 meters with a range of over 2 kilometers. Even the finest details of a branch or a finger are precisely detected by the sensitivity of less than 40 microkelvins.

The image is displayed on the screen with an HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The new AMOLED technology is known for brilliant colors and rich black levels.

Thanks to the BT remote control, it can be attached to the stock or butt for even better usability. The buttons are raised, just like on the device, so they can be used at night or with gloves.

The housing is made of a high-quality magnesium alloy, which also made the pocket-sized form factor possible. The material is torsion-resistant, robust, and light at the same time. Magnesium also dissipates heat very well from the electronics. Use with large calibers is possible, as the device can absorb recoil up to 6000 Joules. With IPX7 protection, dust and moisture have no chance, so bad weather can confidently come.

Power is supplied by the IPS7 battery; the battery pack is docked on the top. Wirelessly, no cables need to be connected. One battery charge powers the Krypton 2 FXG50 for up to 11 hours. A charger is also included in the scope of delivery.

Photos and videos can be saved; the built-in video recorder provides 16 gigabytes for storage. New to WiFi is the 5 GHz bandwidth, which can establish a more stable and faster connection to a smartphone. Via the Stream Vision 2 App, up to 4 other people can follow the observation live. The operating system is also updated via this method.
