Fittingly
Pulsar Merger LRF XP35 Thermal Imaging Binoculars
A thermal imaging observation device with the appearance of ordinary binoculars. This form factor has proven itself for long periods of use, so it is not surprising that Pulsar takes advantage of the benefits with the Merger. These result from the more relaxed use for the user. By holding it with both hands, the arms do not tire as quickly as with a monocular, and seeing with both eyes is also naturally intended, which is less strenuous. Another convenience is the ability to adjust the interpupillary distance to one's anatomy.
The design impresses with its functionality; the ergonomically adapted buttons can be effortlessly operated in any situation. The most frequently needed commands can be controlled with a single press of a button.
The built-in laser rangefinder can precisely determine thermal imaging sources up to one kilometer away, which makes wildlife observation in particular more precise.
A high-resolution sensor is used for detection, which, with 640 x 480 pixels resolution and a sensitivity of less than 25 microkelvins, can detect even the weakest thermal imaging signatures. The captured image data is then displayed on an HD AMOLED display, which delivers convincing results in terms of color brilliance and contrast.
The lens is equipped with a 35-millimeter large lens, which achieves the best possible results with the help of coordinated hardware and software. With this equipment, a human can be well detected up to 1350 meters.
For power supply, 2 batteries are used; the built-in battery holds 4000 mAh, and the replaceable external battery has a capacity of 3200 mAh. With both batteries, depending on usage and ambient temperature, you can get up to 9 hours of operation. Incidentally, the replaceable battery can also be easily swapped at night; the design was specifically chosen so that the position of the battery and the housing receptacle can be intuitively felt with the hands. The runtime can also be significantly extended with a power bank.
