Fittingly
The iRay Tube TD50L combines a digitally supported night vision riflescope with a daylight riflescope. The special feature of this model is the possible color display of the image intensifier tube.
The IR illuminator with a wavelength of 850 nanometers is somewhat more powerful but not 100% wildlife-safe.
The residual light amplifier sensor offers an extremely high resolution of 1440 x 1080 pixels with a pixel size of 16 micrometers. This top performance would be hardly feasible or affordable with the current state of technology in a thermal imaging device.
The lens is 50 millimeters in diameter and therefore particularly light-sensitive, which makes its use as a daylight riflescope in addition to night vision use very sensible; a second riflescope is therefore no longer necessary.
Target detection is possible at a distance of 600 meters, and the magnification is also suitable, with 4x - 16x, its use over long distances is one of the strengths of the TD50 L. Combination with large calibers is also possible, as the housing can safely withstand recoil up to 1000 G.
The operating time of 13 hours is made possible by 2 batteries, one is permanently installed, the second external one can be exchanged at any time. The battery can be recharged via the USB port, and a USB power bank can also be used.
Since the technology is digital, it's not surprising that a video recorder with 16 gigabytes of storage is on board. A WLAN module has also been considered, allowing one to four smartphones to be controlled via WiFi to share observations.
Bad weather such as rain or snow cannot harm the housing, as it is dust and waterproof according to IP67.
For optimal power supply, it is worthwhile to order the matching replacement battery immediately, as the permanently installed battery should never be allowed to run completely empty. Matching chargers can be found here. This battery is also required for the IR illuminator.
