The A50E day and night vision scope is identical in construction to the Hikmicro Alpex 4K A50EL model, with the exception that the A50EL also has a built-in laser rangefinder. The Alpex series are high-end sighting devices with state-of-the-art technology in the classic 30 millimeter center tube design. This allows for easy mounting on most common shotguns.

A special feature is the very high resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels in UHD quality, which means that the scope can be used not only in the dark, but also in daylight. It displays vivid, meaningful images.

A special function has been implemented for shot evaluation: Recoil Activated Video, or RAV for short, automatically starts recording as soon as recoil is registered. This also clarifies the question of a video recorder, which can, of course, also be used manually at any time. 64 gigabytes of data storage are available for saving photos and video clips.

The digital CMOS sensor's output is displayed on a modern OLED display, which can show the smallest details in Full HD with high contrast and color fidelity. The use of OLED technology only has advantages: they are energy-efficient, meaning they consume less power, and they also don't produce a gray haze. Black therefore remains black, as it is in reality.

The IP67-protected housing is dustproof and waterproof and can absorb recoil up to 1000 G. This means that all types of use, such as in humid or dusty climates or during a hunting trip abroad, are possible.

The features range from 5 different memory profiles, a picture-in-picture function, to hot-spot tracking, which has already successfully established itself in thermal imaging devices.

The battery life is up to 11 hours, depending on use. Power is supplied by 2 permanently installed batteries and one additional replaceable battery. A USB power bank can also be connected optionally.
